THE STORY BEHIND: This was one of my very ambitious works that I had been planning for years. I put many hours into this painting and tested my patience to the limits to achieve satisfaction.

I started with face and it's so difficult to put that expression on a face especially if you know the person. While others were telling me it was fine I could sense that something like Monalisa's smile was missing. At last, after hours of staring and comparing every little space, I was able to put a few strokes that brought life to the face and that's why we(my family) named it PAPALISA.
